I'm trying to get packages to migrate from wxwidgets2.6 to wxwidgets2.8
so we can remove the former from the archive - it's no longer supported
upstream, and wxwidgets3.0 is supposed to be out early next year.
Currently chipw has an alternative build-dependency on
libwxgtk2.8-dev|libwxgtk2.6-dev. The buildds will always pick the first
alternative (and fail if it isn't available) so it's safe to just drop
the reference to libwxgtk2.6-dev at this point.
There were wxwidgets2.8 packages in lenny (currently oldstable), so the
alternative build-dependency isn't useful for backporting at this point.
If you'd like me to NMU this change, please just let me know.
