For a very long time I get this message in .xsession-errors:

Obviously, the correct location is /usr/sbin/disk-manager.

it seems like I can't find the said behaviour in a just-compiled package:
disk-manager/debian/disk-manager $ grep -inR "usr/bin" *
usr/sbin/disk-manager:1:#! /usr/bin/python -OOt
disk-manager/debian/disk-manager $
Thus, closing the bug.
