Package: ipxe-qemu
Version: 1.0.0+git-20120202.f6840ba-2
Severity: wishlist
Since we now have special package for just qemu boot roms,
please move them into /usr/share/qemu where qemu expects
them, so it will not be necessary for qemu anymore to catch
various locations of the boot roms (/usr/lib/etherboot vs
/usr/lib/ipxe/ vs /usr/share/ipxe/ vs anything else du jur).
While at it, please rename the roms to how qemu expects them
to be, namely:
e1000_82540.rom (8086100e) => pxe-e1000.rom
eepro100.rom (80861209) => pxe-eepro100.rom
ns8390.rom (10500940) => pxe-ne2k_pci.rom
pcnet32.rom (10222000) => pxe-pcnet.rom
rtl8139.rom (10ec8139) => pxe-rtl8139.rom
virtio-net.rom (1af41000) => pxe-virtio.rom
I specified also PCI device/vendor IDs, -- names of the drivers
may change, but you can always request ipxe build system to
generate, say, bin/8086100e.rom -- a boot rom for a specific
PCI device/vendor, and go from there.
I wont provide a patch since you appears to not accept patches
anyway, redoing everything I've sent you so far.
Thank you.

I can live with it too. Not exactly nice but works too. Closing the bug.
