Package: mplayer2
Version: 1:2.0~git20111203-0.2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
/usr/bin/mplayer2 -nolirc -vo null -vc dummy -cache 32768 -cache-min 99
-ao pcm:waveheader:file=./1.wav ./2.ape
returns:
[ape @ 0xc016e0]Only 16-bit samples are supported
[ape @ 0xc016e0]Only 16-bit samples are supported
[ape @ 0xc016e0]Only 16-bit samples are supported
Could not open codec.
MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: init_audio_codec
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
disassembly. Details in
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We
can't and won't help unless you provide this information when reporting
a possible bug.
And it hangs.
2.ape is more than 16/44.1 audio file.
Could You please make it at least to exit in such case?!
Thank You for Your work!

That version does not exist in Debian. If someone can reproduce it in
Debian, please reopen with appropriate version numbers.

Uoti, can you perhaps comment on this issue? Do we need a newer
mplayer2 snapshot or something?
Cheers,
Reinhard
