Package: colordiff
Version: 1.0.7-1
Severity: normal

Hi,
I tried to use colordiff with wdiff support, and surprisingly, it did not
work. I investigated, and discovered that $diff_type was "diffy" instead of
"wdiff" because my text contains a '|' at some point (before first wdiff
line).

This issue is an expected, although rare, consequence of the fact that
colordiff's "diff type" autodetect is not 100% perfect. Given that it
functions as a filter, this will always be true.

However, version 1.0.8 of colordiff introduced the 'diff-type' option
allowing one to specify the type of diff being piped to colordiff; no
autodetection is performed in this case, it just takes your specified
option and attempts to highlight the diff accordingly.

Therefore, I'm going to close this bug as fixed with the first
(Debian-included) colordiff version in which the 'diff-type' option was
included, namely 1.0.9.

Thanks,

Dave.
