If the Browser chosen in the "External Browser Settings" is 'x-www-browser',
liferea will fail to open links in a new tab, i've tried setting 'x-www-browser'
to Epiphany and Iceweasel and failed in both.
But if I choose directly Epiphany or Iceweasel, opening links in the 'new tab'
works just fine.
May be this issue could be related to the bug #1951261 [0] on Liferea's
SourceForge
Tracker.
