Package: splashy
Version: 0.3.13-5
Severity: normal

When init is waiting for user input, splashy dosent notify the user in any way.
Sometimes, it is even impossible to input anything. I exeprienced two examples :
- a file system check fail. In this case, user is prompted for the root
password in order to start a maintenance shell. But when splashy is enabled,
the user is not warned that an input is required, so the boot process seems
freezed. I hitted CTRL+ALT+F8, then I saw the prompt, but it was impossible to
enter the password.
- booting into a wrong kernel after hibernation. In this case, init asks wether
to continue the boot process, but splashy doesn't show anythong and the resume
process seems frozen. It is however possible to hit y to continue the boot
process or n to abort it.

The problem is that for an user that is not used to these prompts, it can seem
that it's impossible to boot anymore.
