Hi,
I have both postgresql-8.3 and postgresql-8.4 installed, and I get this
error when insserv runs:

insserv: script postgresql-8.4: service postgresql already provided!
insserv: script postgresql-8.4: service postgresql-8.4 already provided!
warning: It is not safe to convert to dependency based boot.
Both postgresql-8.3 and postgresql-8.4 init scripts have a "Provides:
postgresql" line, as they should. It seems insserv is missing the
concept that there may be multiple instances of the same service, and
both instances must be started before anything that has
"Required-Start: postgres".
