0b:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan]
Network Connection (rev 02)

Having the above wireless device, I always have problems with connection to AP
using wpa_supplicant.
As you see below, as soon as the association is done, there is a

wlan0: deauthenticating by local choice (reason=3)

Sometimes connection is going smoothly -generally when starting the computer-,
sometimes I can get connection working by asking wpa_supplicant
to stop scanning -for instance after s2ram- then

sudo ifdown wlan0
sudo rmmod iwl3945
sudo modprobe iwl3945

and back to wpa_supplicant -> connect. Sometimes there is no way to connect,
only computer reboot or removing all wireless stuff and restarting
the AP.

This problem appears also with roaming (wireless bridge): the iwl3945 doesn't
want to connect to other AP having same SSID and WEP key. Same
solution that above to get connected.
