I see the following problem for emacs21 when following a link in a
w3m-mode buffer, in a multi-window frame (i.e., after C-x 2).
If the message in the echo area of the type:
Reading http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/default.stm... \
(Type `C-c C-k' to stop asynchronous process)
is too large to fit in one line, causing it to resize, then after the
Fontifying...done
message is cleared, the lower window is one line smaller, and the
upper window one line larger. In short, the extra line used in the
echo area seems to be given back to the wrong window. I haven't seen
this problem with long messages outside of emacs-w3m.

emacs21 is no longer supported. This bug does not appear on emacs23.
