Package: xen-utils-common
Severity: normal

When setting

(network-script network-bridge)

in the xen config, restarting xen will result in error messages like:

/etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge: line 219: brctl: command not found

/etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge is part of xen-utils-common which doesnt
depend or recommend the bridge-utils package which contains brctl.

This dependency is part of the xen-utils-${VERSION} pacakge. As far as I
can see from the VCS history this has always been the case. All actual
uses of this script require the utils package so I think that is
sufficient, hence I am closing this bug.

Note also that using the network scripts in this way is discouraged by
both the Debian maintainer and upstream. It is highly recommended to use
the distro provided mechanisms (/etc/network/interfaces) to setup the
host networking. Please see
http://wiki.debian.org/Xen#Configure_Networking for more info.

Ian.
