Package: cups
Version: 1.3.10-2

I'm having issues getting cups working correctly on my home network : any user can print from any box -- except the server.

On the server, the gnome printing dialog shows the printers correctly, but the "Print" button is greyed...

Here is what the access log has to say on the issue :
--> from the server :
localhost - - [22/May/2009:17:03:40 +0200] "GET /printers/Samsung_ML-1710.ppd HTTP/1.1" 400 0 - -
--> from another box :
192.168.0.4 - - [22/May/2009:17:04:28 +0200] "GET /ppd/Samsung_ML-1710.ppd HTTP/1.1" 200 28867 - -

In one case, the result is 200(OK), and in the other 400(INCORRECT REQUEST) -- it works when using /ppd/<printername> but not /printers/<printername>... I'm using the same program (gnumeric) from both places.

Hope it helps,

Snark on #gnome-hackers

Dear Debian User,

This bug report was submitted against a version of CUPS that is no
longer supported in Debian. Use of our limited, volunteer supported
resources is best served by not keeping around old, hardware-specific
and inactive bugs for longer than desirable, so the report is now being
closed.

You may, of course, wish to review the reported problem. It would be
appreciated if any future investigation could be conducted using the
testing or unstable distributions. If considered necessary, a new bug
report, possibly referencing this one, would be submitted. Please note
there are now separate cups and cups-filters packages.

Thank you for your report.

Regards,

Brian.
