Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Initially, the RC bug against dsc-statistics was marked
wontfix but has since been ignored with the insistence
on the submitter sending a tested and documented patch
instead of the maintainer actually maintaining the
package.

One month after I warned about the package needing to
be removed if this bug is not fixed, nothing has
happened with the issue.

Please remove dsc-statistics from Debian.

That package is surely is rc bugy and the reaction of the maintainer
is certainly suboptimal. However, that alone doesn't require the
package to be removed from the archive. It surely should be removed
from testing (but that's done by the release team), but there are other
ways in Debian to deal with bad maintainership: NMU, QA uploads, orphan,
or even the ctte.
