The "Ring sound device" preference is a drop-down list without the
possibility to enter something custom. This is bad, because there is no
way to use a non-default sound card with wrappers such as plug or
softvol that ALSA provides to all well-written applications (that open
"default:1" as a sound device instead of "hw:1").

Also, it (wrongly) lists "ALSA: SAA7134", which is a capture-only device.

Alexander,

As this version of linphone is no longer supported by Debian, I am closing
your report.

Could I ask you to upgrade to a Debian supported version and, if this is still
an issue, please raise a new bug report.

Thanks,
Mark
