Package: ia32-libs-i386
Version: 1:0.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

the package ia32-libs-i386 does not seem to be installable. On packages.debian.org it is also listed as unavailable. But I need
it for ia32-libs-gtk which is needed for firefox.

$ apt-get install ia32-libs-gtk

Hi,

the ia32-libs and ia32-libs-gtk packages no longer contain the shared
libraries for ia32, but make use of the new multiarch feature[1] to
directly install the i386 packages.

  [1] <http://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch>

For this to work, you first need to enable multiarch with

  dpkg --add-architecture i386

as mentioned in the package description and run "apt-get update" once.

Please note that it might still take a few hours until "ia32-libs-i386"
shows up in testing on the mirror network: there was a small issue which
caused the new multiarch-enabled ia32-libs-gtk to migrate to testing
before the required multiarch-enabled ia32-libs did so.

Regards,
Ansgar
