Package: linux-2.6
Version: 3.1.4-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I just did a dist-upgrade and this new version of linux image was installed.
During the
installation it complained when setting up the modules that
linux-headers-3.1.0-1-486 be
installed (I do not have the exact message as it scrolled past and I could not
scroll
back to it).

When I tried to install linux-headers-3.1.0-1-486 it complained of a build
error, and
suggested I look in a log file in which I found:-

checking compiler to build kernel modules... gcc (default)
checking for BSD- or MS-compatible name lister (nm)... (cached) /usr/bin/nm -B
checking the name lister (/usr/bin/nm -B) interface... (cached) BSD nm
configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.1.0-1-486' is neither a kernel
version string nor a full path
make[3]: *** [/var/lib/dkms/blcr/0.8.4/build/config-stamp] Error 1
make[2]: *** [_module_/var/lib/dkms/blcr/0.8.4/build] Error 2
make[1]: *** [sub-make] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2
make: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-3.1.0-1-486'

I have not yet tried to see if this kernel is bootable, but I do have an
earlier 3.0 kernel
installed so I can always fall back to that.

   * Preparing for Wheezy release
   * Drop -dkms package entirely since no kernel support anyway,
userspace library will behave sanely still (Closes: #638339)
   * High urgency because of RC bug fixes
   * Conflicts with older -dkms package to force removal on upgraded systems
   * Drop recommends to suggets (Closes: #690072)
