Hi,

if have set up different accounts and therefore I have different identities, but I set up only one smtp account and made it default such that the other accounts should use it for "reply" or "write". But this doesn't happen, there is the option to chose in the from field in which the identity gets selected according to which inbox/folder is marked. Of cause sending does not work when the login data from one account is used for an other (especially with different mail providers). This feature only makes sense if there are acutually more than one accounts/setups to select from.

Thanks Sebastian

Hello Sebastian,

your bug is still opened, no one more still reported same problems with
younger versions of thunderbird/icedove.
In fact your reported version isn't available in current releases of
debian and no more action happend on this bug I assume the bug is gone.
So i will close this bug.

Please feel free to open a new bug if you find something unusful in
current icedove versions.

Regards
Carsten
