Hi!
linkchecker is using some non-standard fields in debian/control and they have
been prefixed with XS to force them into the dsc file and from there they end
up in the Sources file on the mirrors.
Adding more fields to Sources and Packages needs to be done with care and
preferrably in consultation with the broader development community. New fields
cause tools to output incorrect information (try "apt-get source linkchecker")
or extra noise (e.g. UDD complains about unknown fields in Sources). It's also
only worth including new fields if there are any tools to actually make use of
them. Perhaps the copyright, README.source or upstream files would be better
places for this information?
