Hi,

A lot of users use samba within a network. ftp is though nice, but
likely not sufficient.

Thunar can open the smb share.

Please could you add this embedded support to mc. Since years, we are
awaiting for such an improvement.

Given the state of smbfs in MC it is not such a good idea.
It was already requested, considered and rejected -- see explanation in
