Severity: minor

In README-DEbian I read:

|If you are not using a stock debian kernel, there are two ways to
|build the modules package yourself; the traditional way and the
|apt-src way.
|
|Building kernel modules with apt-src:
|------------------------------------
|
|Tell apt-src where your kernel source tree and pcmcia-cs source trees are.
|If you're using the regular directories in /usr/src/, then:
|
| apt-src import kernel --location=/usr/src/linux --version=2.4.18
| apt-src import pcmcia-cs --location /usr/src/modules/pcmcia-cs

But:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] apt-src import kernel --location=/usr/src/linux
--version=2.4.26-3
[EMAIL PROTECTED] apt-src location kernel
W: cannot read /home/usr.local/src/linux-2.4.26-preempt-hrt/debian/changelog
E: Source kernel is not installed

Are the instructions wrong? Is apt-src wrong? Did I interpret the
instructions too widely? I am not using a Debian kernel, I built it
myself from kernel.org sources.

We don't use apt-src anymore. You can use module-assistant for building your
own modules.
