When attempting to uninstall nvidia-glx (using dpkg --purge):

> (Reading database ... 344221 files and directories currently
> installed.)
> Removing nvidia-glx ...
> dpkg-divert: rename involves overwriting `/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2' with
> different file `/usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa', not allowed
> dpkg: error processing nvidia-glx (--remove):
> subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2
> Errors were encountered while processing:
> nvidia-glx

I had to recreate symlinks by hand to restore X's GLX code. Not a
task for the faint-hearted!

Version of nvidia-glx involved not known (forgot to note it before
deleting), but probably 1.0.6111-1 (current sarge package).
