Package: emacs-snapshot-common
Version: 1:20051020-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Since upgrading to 1:20051020-1 version of emacs-snapshot shell
programs using terminfo (running under command term or ansi-term)
complain that `terminal is not fully functional'.

It seems the snapshot is in the middle of a transition. term.el uses
the new name for the TERM variable

/usr/share/emacs/22.0.50/lisp/term.el.gz
(defvar term-term-name "eterm-color")

But the terminfo description although renamed still uses the old name:

/usr/share/emacs/22.0.50/etc/e/eterm-color.ti
eterm|Emacs term.el terminal emulator term-protocol-version 0.96,

And this must be the reason why the compiled terminal description
/usr/share/emacs/22.0.50/etc/e/eterm-color is empty.

Hopefully changing the line in eterm-color.ti to:

eterm-color|Emacs term.el terminal emulator term-protocol-version 0.96,

will fix the build problem and the file eterm-color will have proper
content.
