Package: sysklogd
Version: 1.4.1-10
Severity: wishlist
Hi, I'm using a program to extract events from syslog, messages, etc.
Since the system is a public server we keep (daily rotated) syslogs for
about a month.
During December-January the dates extracted from log files
become unsortable (i.e. "01/01" comes before "31/12" when it should
be the other way round). This is just because the year is not logged.
Please add an option to syslogd so that log entries are written *with*
the year.
Thanks.
