Package: foomatic-gui
I can't use foomatic GUI to set up a printer. I press "Add", it begins to
search for a printer and searches forever. All buttons in the window are greyed
out, the only thing i can do is to close the window.
My hadrware configuration is: Pegasos-II PowerPC CHRP machine, Genuis-HR6
scanner on the parellel port, nothing on the network (it's configured and can
be brought into operation at any moment, just nothing at the other end),
LaserJet1000w printer connected to USB port (i try to set it up), DKU-9 USB
Nokia5100 cellular phone cable on the second USB port (pl2303 USB-to-serial
chip in fact).
I set up my printer through CUPS' web interface but it doesn't appear in
foomatic GUI window when i start it.
