Package: packagekit-tools
Version: 0.7.6-3
Severity: normal
PackageKit can't update my package list.
After running:
$ pkcon refresh
in the console, packagekit returns the following message:
> Unable to connect to :ftp:
Here the content of my /etc/apt/sources.list:
> deb ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian wheezy main non-free contrib
> deb-src ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian wheezy main non-free
> contrib
>
> deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib
> non-free deb-src http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main
> contrib non-free
After changing the ftp-entries with http-entries:
> deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian wheezy main non-free contrib
> deb-src http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian wheezy main non-free
> contrib
>
> deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib
> non-free deb-src http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main
> contrib non-free
After changing, the update of the package list was done without any
failure.
I don't know exactly the severity, so i set it to >normal<.
Best regards
Bernhard

Hi!
Okay... Unfortunately, this looks difficult to backport. If I have
some more time, I'll try it anyway, but at least the bug is fixed now
:-)
(in Jessie/Unstable)
Cheers,
Matthias
