lambic:~# getent passwd

(this is where it should start to query the ldap server)
Bus error
strace shows something very strange:
getpid() = 28145
gettimeofday({1099169233, 987034}, NULL) = 0
getrusage(RUSAGE_SELF, {ru_utime={0, 40000}, ru_stime={0, 40000}, ...})
= 0
time(NULL) = 1099169233
times({tms_utime=4, tms_stime=4, tms_cutime=0, tms_cstime=0}) =
1165252430
getpid()
...
over and over and over again, until it quits out with a bus error.
this does not happen on an x86 machine with the same configuration,
so i'm guessing it's an endianness or 64 vs 32 thing.

I'm cleaning up the bug reports for libnss-ldap and am closing this old
bug. The bug is against a very old version of libnss-ldap and has
probably been fixed in the meantime.
If you can still reproduce this bug, feel free to re-open it noting the
version and configuration specifics (e.g. using TLS, Kerberos).
Thanks,
