Dear Maintainer,

Should os-release not provide 7.1 as version on the above lines?

That would mean modifying /etc/os-release at every point release,
something which is not desirable to do according to release managers.

In late May, I asked them specifically about /etc/os-release and this
is what they said:

http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2013/05/msg01081.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-release/2013/05/msg01084.html

So this is a deliberate decision made by the release managers.

In short, Debian wheezy = Debian 7, which includes every Debian 7.x point
release.

Please note that this was not clear enough in Debian 7.0 and /etc/os-release
was buggy according to this. Such bug was fixed in Debian 7.1.

Thanks.
