Package is unmaintained:
Netdisco entered Debian in 2007 and was maintained until 2009. However since
then four upstream releases have not been packaged. Users are raising questions
in the upstream support channels which can only be answered by "upgrade
manually". They would be better off if Netdisco 1.x were not in Debian in the
first place.
Package is superseded:
Furthermore, the upstream developers, and Debian package maintainers, are now
focussed on Netdisco 2.x and there will be no further development and upstream
releases of Netdisco 1.x except for bug fixes. Netdisco 2.x is packaged and
distributed via CPAN so it's likely there will be a libapp-netdisco-perl (or
similar) submitted to Debian, in due course.
Bugs will be raised for:
- netdisco-mibs-installer
- netdisco-frontend
- netdisco-backend
- netdisco-common
