You have to set one node as vis server using the vis_mode setting [1]. Otherwise no data from the whole network is gathered. Btw. this will be removed in upcoming versions (when the kernel looses support for visualization data gathering) and another tool called "batadv-vis" [2] from "alfred" [3] has to be used.
