Package: devscripts
Version: 2.10.71
Severity: normal

When trying to scan the following watch file:

  version=3
  https://launchpad.net/mahara/+download
http://launchpad.net/mahara/[\d.]+/[\d.]+/\+download/mahara-([\d.]+).tar.gz

I get proxy errors:

  $ uscan --verbose --report
  -- Scanning for watchfiles in .
  -- Found watchfile in ./mahara/debian
  -- In debian/watch, processing watchfile line:
     https://launchpad.net/mahara/+download

    https://launchpad.net/mahara/+download failed: 500 Can't connect to
localhost:8118 (Bad service '8118/')
  -- Scan finished

I have privoxy configured to proxy HTTP and HTTPS traffic:

  HTTP_PROXY=http://localhost:8118/
  HTTPS_PROXY=https://localhost:8118/
  http_proxy=http://localhost:8118/
  https_proxy=https://localhost:8118/

and uscan works fine if I disable the proxy:

  $ https_proxy= HTTPS_PROXY= uscan --verbose --report

  -- In debian/watch, processing watchfile line:

       http://launchpad.net/mahara/1.2/1.2.5/+download/mahara-1.2.5.tar.gz
  Newest version on remote site is 1.3.5, local version is 1.2.7
   => mahara-1.3.5.tar.gz already in package directory
  -- Scan finished

I can access both the https page and the http tarballs without problems in
my browser which leads me to think that uscan is doing something wrong but
I may be mistaken.

Cheers,
Francois
