For some documents, Evince shows a much lower display quality than Xpdf.
In fact, the documents are almost unreadable with Evince. See the example
PNGs, I've attached to this report.

Maybe this has sth. to do with anti-aliasing?
Maybe this is the same error as
https://bugs.launchpad.net/poppler/+bug/92296 ?
