Package: console-tools
Version: 1:0.2.3dbs-55

in my setup i have disabled vga console entirely -- lilo.conf has this:

append="console=ttyS0,38400n8"

and i have bootlogd enabled (not sure if it's relevant, but since
S05bootlogd is just before S05keymap.sh i thought i'd mention it).

when /etc/rcS.d/S05keymap.sh runs at boot it spews some junk to the serial
console and then hangs -- i'm guessing it's the first fgconsole invocation
that's failing because i put in a "set -x" and the shell never even gets a
chance to print anything.

i have to clear the hang by typing ^C every boot...

i can't seem to reproduce this outside of boot though.

it happens with 2.4 and 2.6 kernels (mind you they're custom compiled, not
debian kernels), the systems are otherwise up to date deb unstable.
