Package: hotkey-setup
Version: 0.1-23
Severity: important
The do_video function assumes that /proc/acpi/video is already
available. However, while testing 2.6.30-rc5 images, I found that this
directory was not yet available at the time hotkey-setup's initscript
runs. Reverting to a 2.6.29 kernel does the right thing.
This causes my Compaq 6510b to hang when the lid is shut, even though
I have a local workaround for #493946 in place.
I'm not sure what causes the kernel module 'video' to get loaded
earlier in 2.6.29; perhaps do_video() should attempt to load the
video module?
Note that this would also be a good candidate for lenny, as I suspect
we'll hit the same issue in lennynhalf.
