It would be cool if fim had support for
generating/displaying/navigating directories with
thumbnails, like zgv can.
I don't know how feasible this is,
but I don't think zgv is under active development,
and doesn't directly support some of the more modern
image formats.
Haven't checked fim for support of animated gifs
like zgv could, but that would be cool too.
Thanks for any consideration, even if just to
pass these comments on to the developer(s).
