I'm using ImageMagick & exiftool to convert some JPGs to TIFs.
The images were taken with a digital camera (Panasonic FZ50)
which automatically records the orientation. The resulting TIF
is not displayed correctly by eog; eog seems to interpret an
EXIF 'Orientation' tag of 'Rotate 270 CW' as 'Flip Vertically'.
Note that the Nautilus thumbnails for the converted images
are displayed correctly.
To reproduce, take a JPG with orientation 'Rotate 270 CW'.
Then,
convert foo.jpg foo.tif
exiftool -TagsFromFile foo.jpg foo.tif
eog foo.jpg foo.tif
