To avoid destroying a partition when you are making a new swap partition
in a running system, it is good to add mkswap a check to see if the
partition is type 83 (linux swap) and stop if not, or --force if it is
not.

I'm going to have to reject this request since Linux doesn't actually
care about partition type codes and mkswap can be run on things that
are not msdos partitions.
