Package: bzr-git
Version: 0.6.9-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/git-remote-bzr

When I clone a bzr repository, the resulting git branching stuff is
completely broken, there is no remote branch and no corresponding local
branch tracking the remote branch like there usually is when cloning
normal git repositories.

pabs@chianamo ~/tmp $ git clone
bzr::http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~apathy-coders/apathy/trunk/ apathy
Cloning into 'apathy'...
Note: checking out 'd556c69bd03422b4959489626f0e4abfe5efb590'.

You are in 'detached HEAD' state. You can look around, make experimental
changes and commit them, and you can discard any commits you make in this
state without impacting any branches by performing another checkout.

If you want to create a new branch to retain commits you create, you may
do so (now or later) by using -b with the checkout command again. Example:

  git checkout -b new_branch_name

pabs@chianamo ~/tmp $ cd apathy/
pabs@chianamo ~/tmp/apathy ((d556c69...)) $ git branch -r
pabs@chianamo ~/tmp/apathy ((d556c69...)) $ git branch
* (no branch)
