Package: rhythmbox
Version: 0.12.8-3
Severity: minor
Tags: upstream patch

Most of my music files purposely do not have neither an album nor a genre tag,
so none of the options presented for browser views in Edit -> Preferences ->
General suits my needs.

The options availabe are:
Artists and albums
Genres and artists
Genres, artists and albums

I wish there were an "Artists" alone option, but lacking that, I've found that
setting gconf's key /apps/rhythmbox/ui/library/browser_views=3, the browser's
view only displays an artist's list panel.

I hope this behaviuor is by design, in which case it should be documented
in the corresponding schema's long description.
Currently, it reads (/usr/share/gconf/schemas/rhythmbox.schemas):
        0 Artists, Albums
        1 Genres, Artists
        2 Genres, Artists, Albums

It should also document:
        3 Artists

Preferably, that option should be available through the user interface.
