Package: gnulib
Version: 20130805+stable-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

It looks[1] like gnulib is wasting at least 3.8 MB of installed space due
to duplicated documentation files.

[1]: <http://dedup.debian.net/compare/gnulib/gnulib>

In particular, you have dupes

3.8 MB ./usr/share/doc/gnulib/gnulib.html
        ./usr/share/gnulib/doc/gnulib.html

both of which contain exactly the same 3.8 MB of data, and you could
save space by replacing the /usr/share/doc copy with a symlink.

You also have a less-clear-cut case,

  1.8 MB ./usr/share/gnulib/doc/gnulib.info
258.3 KB ./usr/share/info/gnulib.info.gz

where one of the files is a compressed version of the other. You could
use a symlink here too, but it would only save 258.3 KB of space ...

Another option would be to remove the built copies of the documentation
from /usr/share/gnulib entirely, which would save about 5.6 MB.
