Hi,
thanks for your bug report against the Debian package worker and sorry
for the long delay.
You've suggested that worker should depend on xli, so that the display
of images in one of the panes works. However, this is an optional
feature of worker, the program xli is not needed for using worker.
Therefore, I don't want to add a dependency on xli.
A less "hard" dependency would be the recommendation of xli, and this is
exactly what has been done for the worker package. It recommends either
xli or imagemagick, both of which are fine for displaying images in one
pane.
