Num Lock state is not preserved nor remembered when "separate
layout/group for every application/window" is used.
This is annoying on those tiny keyboards that do not have
Num Locks functional :->.
I think the best way would be to have common Num lock, Scroll lock and
Caps Lock state between all apps, but still separate keyboard layouts.

Upstream does not want to take care of these bugs as impacted versions
are too old and it is not proven that they have been encountered in
gnome 3.
