Package: gnome-settings-daemon
Version: 3.4.2-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Since using Gnome 3, closing the lid on my laptop doesn't trigger a suspend,
even if gsettings is configured for that.
The problem has already been identified in ubuntu bug #949296 and a fix has
been added to their package [2]. It also seems to be related to upstream bug
#672030 [3] even if I can't check as it's down for me atm.
The problem seems to be related to function gnome_rr_output_is_laptop in
libgnome-desktop-3 which doesn't seem to recognize the 'default' output as the
laptop output and so doesn't trigger the suspend.

version: 3.8.5-2
I'm closing this bug now since it seems to be fixed.
I'm closing with gnome-settings-daemon-3.8.5-2 but in fact the right
package is gnome-desktop3-3.8.4-2.
If you can still reproduce it feel free to reopen and provide more info.
thanks Nicolas for reporting the bug and mentioned those links.
regards
althaser
