--- Begin Message ---More than a decade has passed. This bug has been marked wontfix for years. The Emacs package has not grown that much in the intervening years, but disks are orders of magnitude bigger now. The Emacs package already splits the .el files out into a separate piece. Thus there seems no point keeping this report open.
