Package: libldap2
Version: 2.1.30-3
Severity: normal

 I'm having lots of strange problems related to ldap, auth randomly fails (
with rather low rate,
~2 failures in 1024 successess ), those problems don't appear on identically
configured system based on 2.2.x
ldap, in changelog I found ~50 bugfixes in 2.2 that are probably left unfixed
in 2.1.
 This report is vague because I'm having problems pinpointing the problem due
to low failure rate, all I could gather
are asserts from syslog:
proftpd:
/home/roland/debian/openldap/build/2.1.30/openldap2-2.1.30/libraries/libldap/cyrus.c:468:
 ldap_int_sasl_open: Assertion `lc->lconn_sasl_ctx == ((void *)0)' failed.

Hi,

The reporter wrote that his problem was fixed in 2.2.x versions of libldap. I'm closing this bug since that already went into Debian a long time ago.

If someone else is having a similar problem with the current version, please create a new bug report.

thanks,
Ryan
