Package: emacs21-common
Severity: normal

Hello,

I you search in the debian files for octave-mod.el in testing, you'll
get 4 replies:
emacs21-common (and source in emacs21-el)
octave2.1-emacsen
octave2.9-emacsen

While trying to understand why there were initialisation problems whith
"M-X run-octave" in emacs, in found two versions of the files
octave-mod.elc, octave-inf.elc and octave-hlp.elc:
- /usr/share/emacs21/site-lisp/octave2.9-emacsen/, from octave2.9-emacsen;
- /usr/share/emacs/21.4/lisp/progmodes from emacs21-common

I guess emacs21-common should remove those three files, or an
appropriate alternative should be installed. Could you check ?

TIA

Pascal Dupuis

AFAICS the octave*-emacsen package no longer exists (except in oldstable).
