Package: hal
Version: 0.5.14-1
Severity: normal

DVDs and CDs seem to take a long time to spin up. In dmesg the following
errors/messages are reported. I assume this is related to HAL as stopping the
HAL service gets rid of these errors.

I've tried various CDs and DVDs, a new DVD-RW drive and two laptops (both Acer
TravelMate 290) and these errors always show. The discs usually work fine once
GNOME has mounted them, but sometimes it doesn't respond properly and I have to
eject and try again.
