nagios-plugins is NOT a library and without rpcbind check_rpc isn't
usable. For default installations installing nagios-plugins* has all
required binaries for running any shiped plugin.
If you like to have a smaller footprint, you are free to run "apt-get
- --no-install-recommends install nagios-plugins*" or disable installing
recommands globaly.
Thus I'm closing this bugreport.
