Package: network-manager
Version: 0.9.4.0-10
Severity: important
Tags: patch
Affects: network-manager-strongswan

Hi,

NetworkManager started to require a tun device for all VPNs, but there
are no such devices when IPsec is used. This basically breaks
network-manager-strongswan (currently broken due to another bug, but
...).

Attached patch is inspired on the patches from [1] which were
apparently applied to RHEL. I looked at NM upstream's repo and I
didn't see such changes, so I don't know the status for fixing this
bug directly at upstream.

The main difference between the RH patches is that n-m-strongswan is
already telling NM that the interface is "none", while the RH patches
add a new define that sets the iface to "_none_". In their case it
affects the openswan NM plugin.

Please consider applying the patch, or fixing the bug in another way.
Note that this patch is against wheezy.

I uploade network-manager 0.9.10.0 which includes those two commits.

I therefore close this bug report.
Please reopen or file a new bug report if you still encounter any issues.
