After updating from ppp_2.4.2+20040428-6_i386, pppd seem to fail silently.
Nothing in syslog. Nothing in
a dmesg. I ran it in forground (nofork)... No error on command line. I enabled
"ulimit -c" to see if it
would dump core... It did not. Reinstalling the the previous version noted
above works.
