I am currently using Gnome/e16 on the stable release, and I would like to have
XFCE/e17
on Wheezy. I tried the same in fallback mode with Gnome3 and saw pretty much
the same
output. For systems which do not provide proper hardware-accelleration, where
Gnome runs
in fallback mode, it would make sense to use e17 instead of gnome-shell. Also
there is no
workable port of gnome-shell for powerpc architecture, I think. So could you
please make
this possible ? I tried to replace xfwm some time ago, but had e17 then running
instead of
XFCE, XFCE went on upon exiting e17. The documentation is a bit poor, too. It
does not
tell about available options, looking at the sources did not give me any hint
either.

e17 was removed from Wheezy, so this is not applicable anymore.
I also regard the report as outdated and timed out.
XFCE does not seem to undergo major changes either.
